We’re pleased to say that following issuing of the latest Government guidelines, we are able to proceed with the running of the 3rd Annual Caged! Open however in order to run as a Covid secure event, there will be restrictions on attendees.
Government guidelines are clear:
Travel from Tier 3 areas of the country should be avoided unless necessary (such as for work etc). Because of this – anyone in a Tier 3 location SHOULD NOT attend this event. Our terms of entry for spectators & the booking platform have been updated to reflect this. Racers will be asked to provide an address at point of booking in to verify they are not in a Tier 3 location.
All bookings will be monitored and subject to checking to validate the information provided. Any racer providing false information to attempt to secure a booking will face a ban from future meetings at Standlake Arena. Any spectators booking from a restricted location will have their tickets cancelled without refund.
We do not like to have to run with these restrictions and understand it means both racers and spectators will miss out – this is very regrettable for us, however the measures we have put in place are to safeguard the running of future meetings. Covid will not be a concern forever and if we all work together, restrictions stand a higher chance of being lifted sooner.
Bookings
Bookings will open for racers previously on the main “intention” list / Teen Streets (limited number available) from Saturday at 9am – anyone on this list will need to message me (FB messenger / matthew.hook77@gmail.com) with the below information:
Name,
Number,
Class,
Licence Held / day licence,
Total number attending in truck / tow vehicle,
Address,
Racers will be issued a link to pay their entry in advance. Advance payment is required to confirm booking.
From Tuesday 1st, subject to space – I will take bookings from people on the reserve list. Matt from Caged has compiled both the intention list, and reserve list but again, a booking is only confirmed through me as detailed above.
Spectators
Spectator tickets will be available from 9am Tuesday in very limited number. We look forward to welcoming racers and race fans alike back to the Oxford Oval for one final crash and to put the 2020 season to bed in style! CLICK HERE TO BOOK
