When guidelines were issued regarding step 2 easing from 12th April – we were optimistic that these restrictions meant general spectator admissions would be possible. Unfortunately, there were amended guidelines published 6th April that explicitly say “spectators are not permitted to attend sporting events taking place on private land” – this guidance is in place until Step 3 – no earlier than 17th May.
We are very disappointed with this further clarification – the steps we have taken since Covid, combined with the nature of our site means there should be no more risk to attendees than the other events allowed under Stage 2.
Our next 3 fixtures – April 18th, May 3rd, May 16 will therefore be run behind closed doors as with our return to racing event just gone. I know a lot of you will be as disappointed with this as we are but we look forward to welcoming spectators back to Standlake as soon as we are able to do so.
